Daddy-Daughter Quality Time

Daddy-Daughter Quality Time

submitting more poetry, you guys.

got some new pieces out to:

  • Callaloo
  • American Poetry Review
  • Cincinnati Review
  • Poetry Foundation

looking to get one postmarked this week for:

  • Crab Orchard Review
  • Tar River Poetry
i haven’t forgotten about the music reviews i mentioned! i’m just in the process of sorting ideas for them.

and more importantly, i’ve begun a new screenplay draft of an idea from a year or so ago. two words that describe the final vision are:  positive energy and darkness.

it’s looking good at the point in the writing. i’ll switch to hand drafting shortly since i’ll be travelin’ down to Wilmington and Carolina Beach for a mini-vacay with the lovely lady. :)

hoping to have 25-50 pages of it drafted by the time i have to go back to work Wednesday—that way, perhaps i’ll be able to finish a full draft within 2 weeks.

fangs crossed.

Collini out.

i’m also going to start reviewing albums:

i’ve chosen to begin with:

  • Pink Freud
  • Nas
  • The Black Keys
  • Christian Scott
  • Bad Meets Evil
  • Flying Lotus
  • The Antlers
  • Van Morrison
  • Beastie Boys
  • John Coltrane
  • Portishead
these have not yet been created, but are in the works.

you’ll hopefully begin to see them in the near future, along with some manner of rating system and explanation thereof.

thank you for your continued cooperation.

Texts!

in response to multiple asks regarding books that have meant and still mean a great deal to me, i am creating a list of them (that i will continue to update as much as i can) that i will link on my page. thank you to those of you who are interested! :)

these texts have altered [positively] the way in which i view the world and behave [toward myself and others]—of course, this list and my [our] evolution is always in transition; these texts, however, should be helpful to the soul and mind no matter your nature/nurturing.

need to not be so insecure.

idea

Sitting, or laying
stretched out,
the lace of
your panties
might be your skin,

running around
a delicate waist
so smoothly
it may only be
a tattoo.
